AOFI headquarters moved to Uzice

Deputy Prime Minister Verica Kalanovic today opened the headquarters of the Export Credit and Insurance Agency (AOFI) in Uzice, which is a continuation of the process to relocate state institutions from Belgrade and make them more available to all Serbian citizens.

Kalanovic stressed that moving the AOFI is an endorsement to the economy of the Zlatibor District, as well as the districts of Morava and Kolubara.
Local businesspeople have shown that they are successful and competitive in the European market during a global crisis, which is why an institution, such as the AOFI, is now made closer to a vital part of the Serbian economy.
The Ministry of Economy and Regional Development was the first state institution to begin the process of declustering state institutions in its domain.
The headquarters of the National Regional Development Agency have been relocated to Zajecar, the Development Fund’s to Nis and the AOFI will as of now be situated in Uzice, she outlined.
The AOFI has been relocated to Uzice because this part of the country has a number of export-oriented companies which use the AOFI’s services a lot.
Up to 27% of all loans approved by the AOFI are granted to companies in the Zlatibor and Morava districts. This region has been attaining a foreign trade surplus for years and its export to import ratio in 2010 exceeded 122%.
Kalanovic also visited export companies Inos Sinma and Impol Seval, located in Sevojno.
Inos Sinma is a recycling company employing 110 workers and exporting to Montenegro and Albania, while Impol Seval is the sole producer of rolled aluminium products and aluminium alloys in Serbia.
The company employs 708 workers, and 94% of its output is export-oriented, which makes it one of the largest Serbian exporters.
