Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today during a meeting with a group of Kosovo Serbs that he insisted on the institutional protection of human rights and decentralisation of Kosovo-Metohija in his recent contacts with representatives of the international community.
Representatives of Kosovo Serbs informed the Prime Minister about their everyday problems and the impossibility to realise their basic human and existential rights. They stressed that it is very important that the Coordinating Centre continue and intensify its assistance in the improvement of very difficult situation in which Serbs and other non-Albanians live.
Participants in the meeting agreed that it is necessary to hold consultation with representatives of all Kosovo Serbs in order to find the best way for obtaining institutional guarantees for the protection of Serbs and non-Albanians in the province.
