Prime Minister in a caretaker capacity Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, stated today in Budva, following his participation in the Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit, that Serbia’s goal is EU accession and that the country is one of the key factors in the Western Balkans in the integration of the entire region.

Macut expressed his conviction that Serbia’s future is clearly oriented toward integration into the European Union, noting that by strengthening regional cooperation, we can create better prospects both for our citizens and for everything we have long awaited throughout the EU accession process.
Macut underlined that he had pointed to the need to reformulate the existing process and that Serbia’s position will be that these processes, which last long and are exhausting and involve a series of meetings between representatives from the EU and the Western Balkans, should be transformed into a single joint panel, which could be symbolically titled the “Berlin Process in the Western Balkans”.
