First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic will meet today in Brussels with EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Judiciary and Security Jacques Barrot.
Dacic said that the key issues of the meeting concern the removal of visa restrictions and Serbia’s EU integration.
He voiced his belief that EU officials will affirm that Serbia has made considerable progress in this respect.
Dacic yesterday talked with Director General of the European Council’s General Secretariat Robert Cooper about the participation of the Serbian police in the EU police missions in Kosovo-Metohija.
Dacic recalled that the Serbian police have already been taking part in police missions in Haiti and Liberia.
The Minister pointed out that the police consist of a series of highly trained, specialised units.
