Dacic to visit Brussels on February 8, 9

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic will be on a working visit to Brussels on February 8–9.
According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, Dacic will meet with Director General of the European Council General Directorate Robert Cooper, EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Judiciary and Security Jacques Barrot.
They will consider the participation of the Serbian police in EU police missions in Kosovo-Metohija, visa liberalisation and Serbia’s EU accession.
In an interview with the Tanjug news agency, Dacic announced that he will convey a message that Serbia expects the EU to provide assistance concerning its EU accession.
He voiced his belief that EU officials will confirm Serbia’s progress concerning both EU integration and visa liberalisation.
Dacic will also inform EU officials about Serbia’s efforts regarding the synchronisation of its laws with European standards.
They will consider the participation of the Serbian police in EU police missions in Kosovo-Metohija, visa liberalisation and Serbia’s EU accession.
