Djelic stressed that the Ministry will do its best to earmark enough funds for science and education since therein lies the future of the country, adding that Serbia must keep up this investment.
Addressing the young scientists who are to present their projects at the fair, Djelic stressed that one of the goals of his Ministry is to open a centre for the promotion of science and technology in Belgrade.
According to him, 8,000 people visited last year’s science festival, which shows that people in Serbia are very interested in science.
After opening the fair Djelic toured the festival with a group of students.
The Science Fair is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development and the Belgrade City Education Secretariat, with the support of the US, French and Austrian embassies and the British Council.
