Regional police forces in joint fight against organised crime

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic today stated that police forces from countries in the region must cooperate in order to fight organised crime.

Following the third traditional meeting of interior ministers from former Yugoslav republics in Sarajevo, Dacic said that there may be political differences amongst states, but when it comes to organised crime, which is a threat to the entire region, all police forces must work together.
The fact that organised criminal groups are multinational and active in all the territories of former Yugoslav republics tells us that crime knows no borders, therefore the fight against organised crime must imply the swift and effective cooperation of all police forces, explained Dacic.
He stressed it is most important that ministers from all the former Yugoslav republics are willing to cooperate.
Organised crime is laughing in our face. That is why police forces from these states must get organised, he stressed, adding that he hopes this cooperation will be even more successful in the future.
