Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic and representatives of the Serbian electric power industry Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) today met with electric meter manufacturers to discuss EPS’s plans to modernise Serbia’s electric energy measuring system.
Djelic reiterated that EPS will carry out all procurements in accordance with the Law on public procurements, as well as under market conditions and in line with international standards.
He asked the electric meter manufacturers to put forward their proposals and solutions on how to formulate the strategy for managing the consumption of electric energy, which may become incorporated in Serbia’s Energy Efficiency Strategy.
They agreed that EPS should draft a procurement plan for the period up to 2016 with projections for each year and distribute it to all electric meter producers in Serbia.
The next meeting will be organised together with the Ministry of Energy and Mining and will take place before the year’s end.
