First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated that he is optimistic regarding the agreement on dual citizenship for citizens of Serbia and Montenegro, which should be adopted tomorrow in Belgrade as part of the fourth round of talks.
Dacic told the Tanjug news agency that he is optimistic as the agreement is in the interest of citizens of both Serbia and Montenegro.
Commenting whether the decision of Montenegro to recognise the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo-Metohija has had consequences on the negotiation process, he said that the relations between the two countries after Montenegro’s recognition of Kosovo have been given a severe blow, but that Serbia will not make moves that are harmful to its citizens.
