At a round table discussion of the Economist Media Group, held at the Sava Centre, Djelic said that the EIB and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development extended €1.3 in loans to Serbia this year for investment purposes.
He announced that the European Commission will unfreeze €120 million in 2010 for developing the Danube basin and explained that Serbia must play a central role. He added that Serbian President Boris Tadic will sign an agreement on a strategic partnership with Germany’s Baden-Württemberg province, member of the Club Four Motors for Europe.
Djelic said that within a few months Serbia will open a new mission at the EU, in which there will be room for Serbian businessmen.
I promise you that the economy will have at least one whole floor at the Serbian House in Brussels to accommodate managers’ representative offices and organisations, stressed Djelic.
