Parliament must speed up adoption of laws

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic called on MPs to speed up with the adoption of laws by the end of the year so as to compensate for the lagging behind.

He said that Serbia is a "black hole" when the adoption of necessary laws is concened, which will be included in the next report of the European Commsion.
With yesterday’s adoption of eight laws, we have adopted ten out of 50 planned by the end of the year, he said, warning that this is not a good performance.

Djelic, who was appointed by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, to manage the project "Universiade 2009“, said that this is the biggest sporting event ever organised in Serbia and should be a great success.
