Speaking about the Serbian oil industry NIS, he said that negotiations are underway with Russian Gazprom on the price of free shares which will be offered to the public and NIS employees, while the first shares to be traded at the Belgrade stock exchange will be this company’s.
We are planning to sign an agreement with Gazprom by the end of the year, and six months after that citizens will be able to trade shares, explained Dinkic and added that by the end of the year registration of all citizens who have a right to free shares will be complete.
During a break at the forum, Dinkic told the press that a tender will be called for privatisation of the mining and metallurgical complex Bor in the second half of October.
Interest has been shown by 11 companies in Bor, and a few of them are leaders in the area of mining, he said and recalled that considerable deposits of ores have been discovered in southern Serbia which are not found in EU countries.
Speaking about the recently
signed agreement with Fiat, Dinkic said that a joint company will be formed with Fiat during the upcoming period, in which Fiat will own two thirds of the capital.
The Serbian government’s aim is to implement the agreement as soon as possible, he stressed and added that a starting capital of €300 million will be invested in Zastava Kragujevac in the first quarter of the next year, while a sum of €500 million will be invested until the end of 2009.
