Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Jovan Krkobabic met with representatives of the families of the missing on the current problems that the families are facing, which was also attended by president of the Serbian committee for missing persons Veljko Odalovic.

One of the problems is the solving of status issues of the families of the missing and kidnapped, the representatives of the families said noting that Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina regulated this through special laws.
Odalovic said that it is difficult to regulate this problem through law as the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia were different and because of the status of the families.
Krkobabic said that Serbia should take a more active role in solving the problems of the families of the missing, kidnapped and killed.
He stressed that a reliable data base is necessary in order to be able to establish a legal framework to deal with this issue.
The Deputy Prime Minister promised he will do everything for a new law on these associations to enter the procedure soon.
He also supported the initiative to erect a monument for all missing Serbs in Belgrade.
