Jovan Krkobabic
Appearing on television Palma Plus, Krkobabic stressed that there are 75 collective centres in Serbia, of which number 58 are in central Serbia and 17 in Kosovo-Metohija.
He specified that 6,311 people live in these centres (710 in the province and 5,601 in central Serbia) and added that there are also 15 illegal centres in Belgrade.
This problem can be solved if with funds from donations and various projects we buy abandoned houses in villages and move refugees there, whereas the problem of those living in cities will be solved through so-called social flats, he explained.
Krkobabic reiterated that pensions will increase by 10% in September, whereas in October the rise will be between 6% and 7%, depending on living expenses, and added that the government will try to reach agreement on pensions with former Yugoslav republics.
He also noted that the construction of new and renovation of current nursing homes will be this government’s imperative, though it will have to be in line with economic possibilities.
