The priority in economic cooperation of the two countries is attracting Chinese investments, especially in the telecommunications, IT and car industry sectors.
Serbia’s exports to China last year were worth only $2 million, while imports of Chinese goods amounted to nearly $1.8 billion.
The Chinese ambassador supported the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement as it is one of crucial prerequisites for attracting Chinese investments to Serbia.
Djelic stressed that Serbia wants to be for China what Ireland was for America in winning the European market in the domain of technology, according to a statement.
