Ivica Dacic
As part of the Salzburg Forum, ministers of south-eastern Europe held a meeting, the first since the Convention on police cooperation in south-eastern Europe came into force.
The outcome of this meeting is the beginning of implementation of the Agreement on police cooperation in south-eastern Europe. I reiterated at this meeting that crime has no borders and that is why operation of police forces must not be limited to the territory of one country alone, Dacic said in a statement to the Tanjug news agency.
He said that it is necessary to have good cooperation in the fight against organised crime which has various forms, from trade in narcotics, arms and people, to financial and classical forms of crime.
We agreed to sign a trilateral agreement with Romania and Bulgaria by the end of the year and to hold an international conference in Belgrade on Danube navigation and to participate in the work of international conferences that will be organised in the upcoming period, Dacic added.
