In a statement for International Radio of Serbia, Djelic said that there is evidence in the form of video recordings and witnesses against Oric, and this acquittal, as in the case of former Kosovo Liberation Army commander Ramus Haradinaj, marks another dark day for the international justice system.
He stressed that it is very important that this and similar cases are reopened and criminals are punished so that Serbian citizens accept the Hague tribunal as a legitimate international court which serves justice.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that Serbia will fulfil all its obligations towards the Hague tribunal and said that he expects the tribunal to initiate procedures against all those who have evidently committed crimes.
