Serbia assumes presidency of Decade of Roma Inclusion

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic will travel to Budapest on June 24 where he will assume the presidency of the Decade of Roma Inclusion on behalf of Serbia.
Djelic will present the plan of Serbia’s presidency that will run from July 1, 2008 to July 1, 2009. Serbia is the first non-EU country that will preside over this international institution.
Priorities during Serbia’s presidency will be to resolve housing issues, education problems and reduce discrimination against the Roma population.
