Substitute Toni Kroos scored in extra-time as four-times European champions Bayern Munich came from behind to win 3-2 at Red Star Belgrade in the opening night of the UEFA Cup group stage.

Red Star, which won the Champions League in 1991, led in the 16th minute with a low shot from Ognjen Koroman. Miroslav Klose equalized in the 20th with a header.
Nenad Milijas put the Serbian side ahead 2-1 in the 74th minute with a long-range half-volley, but Klose leveled the score after a deep cross from the left in the 88th minute.
