Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with the Hague Tribunal’s Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte and said that the conclusion of cooperation with the Tribunal is one of the Serbian government’s five priorities, which best shows that there is clear political willingness and determination to bring the cooperation to an end in the shortest period possible.
Kostunica stressed it is in Serbia’s interest to fulfill its international obligations. He also said that the formation of the National Security Council will help accelerate activities of all state organs with the aim of concluding the cooperation with The Hague.
The Prime Minister said that the resolution of the Zdravko Tolimir case is a further step in this direction.
Del Ponte emphasised that the Tribunal requires Serbia’s full cooperation with the aim of locating all indictees as soon as possible.
