First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali stated today, at the opening of the 2nd IPM, that Serbia will be fully prepared for the opening of Specialised Expo on 15 May 2027.
In his address, Mali said that during their stay in Belgrade, foreign delegations will be presented with further plans and steps in organising the Expo, the programme concept of the exhibition, as well as key logistical and organisational steps that will determine the next phase of preparations.
He wished the guests successful meetings, whose goal is good preparation, resolving all doubts, challenges and open issues so that each country can present itself at the Expo in 2027 as it wishes.
This is an opportunity to come together, talk about the future and make the world a better place, Mali said, expressing his hope that by then there will be peace in the world, and that the Belgrade Expo could be an opportunity to show the image of unity again.
Speaking about the organisation of the exhibition, Mali said that 600,000 square metres of various facilities are currently under construction at the Expo venue, and that Serbia will complete all work on time.
The work is progressing according to plan and we will hand over the keys to the pavilion by 1 December, he reiterated, noting that 8,000 programmes for the 93 days of the exhibition are also being prepared.
