Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today in Dubai, on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS), with President of the Republic of Angola João Lourenço.
Macut emphasised that the traditional and close relations between the two countries, dating back to the period of Angola’s independence, have today reached a very high level, but that there is a clear and mutual readiness to further enhance and deepen these ties.
The Prime Minister highlighted cooperation in education as one of the strongest links between the two countries, in particular the World in Serbia programme.
At the same time, Macut also pointed to strong economic ties, noting that several Serbian companies are already operating in Angola and that Serbia is ready to create additional conditions for the further development of cooperation in this field.
The Prime Minister thanked President Lourenço for the firm and principled support that Angola provides to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
The President of Angola expressed readiness to further deepen existing forms of cooperation and to open new areas of partnership.
