At today’s session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted resolutions awarding members of the Serbian water polo team – gold medallists at the European Championship in the Olympic sports discipline – water polo, men – which was held in Belgrade from 10 to 25 January, with monetary prizes of €20,000 each in the dinar equivalent.
An award in the same amount will also be paid to the coach of the Serbian water polo team, Uroš Stevanović.
Members of the government also adopted the amended and supplemented Decision on the Establishment of the Coordination Body for the Process of Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union.
This involves the formation of an operational team consisting of representatives of the highest state level, whose role will be to coordinate the accelerated implementation of all obligations on Serbia’s European path.
Their task will be to provide strategic guidance, political coordination and timely resolution of issues of particular importance for progress in the accession negotiations.
This team represents a link between decision-making at the highest level and the operational conduct of negotiations, and will contribute to the coordinated action of all competent institutions, while the Ministry of European Integration will continue to carry out professional, organisational and administrative coordination tasks, as well as ensure the coordinated work of all participants in the negotiation process.
