Prime Minister Kostunica offers condolences after murder of Dan daily director

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has sent a letter of condolences to Podgorica daily Dan over the murder of Director and Editor-in-Chief Dusko Jovanovic.

“I am deeply resentful and sad at the murder of Dusko Jovanovic, the Director and Editor-in-Chief of Dan. Another in a series of murders of reputable journalists represents the most serious warning to our society that we must establish the rule of law and strong institutions to fight crime, corruption and general insecurity.
The murder of Dusko Jovanovic has dealt a heavy and painful blow, but I am convinced that the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro has enough strength and will to fight the evil of orgnised crime and corruption. I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Dusko Jovanovic, the Dan daily and all of its readers,” the Prime Minister said in the letter.
