Preservation of common state is best solution

Belgrade, 13 May 2006

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today after the gathering organised in the Sava Centre to support the common state of Serbia and Montenegro that he is encouraged with this gathering as it represents all that he has been supporting for years.

Kostunica told journalists that Europe advocates the common state of Serbia and Montenegro as all nations in Europe are together.

The Prime Minister said Europe knows of no borders and divisions and added that together we are stronger – Serbia with the sea and Montenegro with the Danube.

According to Kostunica, this gathering showed in the best sense what integrations mean and what is the best option in terms of European ideas and values in our own way.
