Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended tonight the opening of the exhibition called "Cyrillic - 30 pedestals for 30 letters" on Sava Promenade, held in honour of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia - Sretenje.
For the needs of this exhibition, which is an integral part of this year’s programme marking Serbia’s Statehood Day, the constitutional Serbo-Slavic script “Monk” was used, which was created by engineer Zoran Kostic, in association with Professor Dimitrije Stefanovic, Professor Djordje Trifunovic and Viktor Savic from the Old Slavonic Department of the Institute for the Serbian Language at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
On the Belgrade Tower, the “Display of Cyrillic Letters” was performed, whereas the “Activation with puppets of Dositej Obradovic, Vuk Karadzic and Desanka Maksimovic” was held on Sava Promenade.
The ceremony at the Belgrade Tower was attended, among others, by Serbian government ministers – Ivica Dacic, Goran Vesic, Marko Blagojevic, Zoran Gajic and Jelena Tanaskovic.
