Government adopts Conclusion on employment of health workers who treated patients with COVID-19

Belgrade, 14 November 2023

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Conclusion on full-time employment of health workers, associates and other persons who worked in the treatment of patients with the infectious disease COVID-19 or in supporting technical jobs in publicly owned health institutions and temporary facilities for accommodation and treatment of people suffering from this infectious disease.

At the session, the Conclusion on the allocation of one-time financial assistance to citizens whose living standards are extremely threatened, and who live in the territories of the cities of Kragujevac and Kraljevo and in the territories of the municipalities of Batocina and Knic, was also adopted. Funds in the amount of RSD 15,350,000 were provided for these purposes.

Government members adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of the Plan for the harmonisation of the visa regime of the Republic of Serbia with the visa regime of the European Union, which is one of the obligations of our country on the way to European integration.

With the opening of the negotiations, Serbia received a list of activities that will be further monitored and on which the pace of European integration will depend, which, among other things, foresees the implementation of activities to strengthen administrative and institutional capacities, as well as the provision of technical and administrative support that is necessary for the implementation of a harmonised visa regime.
