The officials discussed the results so far and stated that a lot has been done in terms of achieving the reform goals and that Serbia is fighting the effects of the world crisis well, despite all the challenges.
McGettigan assessed that Serbia's progress is evident and highlighted the good macroeconomic results analysed by the IMF, economic growth, the number of foreign direct investments and bringing inflation under control, which is still a challenge for other countries in Europe and the world.
He emphasised that the implementation of the current arrangement is making excellent progress and that all planned goals have been met so far.
Brnabic pointed out that the government's priority is further economic growth based on education, knowledge and continued investments in the IT sector, biotechnology and artificial intelligence, and emphasized that the focus is on energy sector reforms and restructuring of the company Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS).
The Prime Minister emphasised that the "Iskra" system, the central information system for calculating the wages of all employees in the public sector, and the Unified Education Information System provide good data on the basis of which priorities for investments in the education sector will be planned, where the focus will be on working with talented children.
She also spoke about the process of digitalisation of the healthcare system, which in the future is expected to provide reliable and complete data in one place on important topics such as statistics on how many people in Serbia suffer from rare diseases, waiting lists, etc., and which will enable more optimal investments in the healthcare system in future.
