Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with representatives of the ODIHR Mission, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, who are paying a visit to our country from 16 to 20 October.
The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to ODIHR representatives for their dedicated work and support for the improvement of electoral conditions in Serbia over the past few years.
ODIHR representatives pointed out that they highly appreciate the attention that the government pays to their reports and recommendations, adding that during their visit they met with many stakeholders, including representatives of the government, the opposition, political parties, civil society, the non-governmental sector and the media.
They unequivocally emphasised that they have acknowledged the results achieved so far in the field of improving the electoral process in Serbia.
Both sides agreed that there is certainly room for improvement.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the government of Serbia is fully committed to the improvement of the electoral process and that all members of the government, as well as state institutions, will be available to the members of the ODIHR Mission at all times, in order to reach a common goal jointly.
The ODIHR mission is in Serbia this week in order to meet with all actors involved in the election process and decide on the presence of its observation mission during the upcoming elections.
