Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier and informed him of the Serbian government's position that the solution for Kosovo-Metohija should be based on international law and respect for the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and that that solution is substantial autonomy for the province within the boundaries of the Republic of Serbia.
Kostunica and Steinmeier agreed that the two countries have good economic cooperation and voiced readiness for its further improvement.
The German Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that Germany offers full support to the state union of Serbia-Montenegro in the process of European integration, and highlighted that Serbia must fulfil its remaining international obligations.
