Begovic assessed that the cooperation has so far been successful and beneficial for both parties, adding that during the meeting Serbia's trump cards were highlighted, such as the degree of digitisation of the state administration, health system and agriculture.
According to her, it was also discussed how Serbia can transfer its experience and expertise to other countries that are not yet at that level of digitisation.
She pointed out that during the meeting, Serbia's success in terms of the availability of education and the percentage of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics was highlighted, according to which our country is above the world and European averages.
The Minister assessed that this cooperation will only get more intensive, especially now in some new areas, such as biotechnology, the construction of the BIO4 campus, with which the UNDP can help Serbia reach the goals of sustainable development.
The UNDP Assistant Secretary-General said that the progress that Serbia has achieved in using digitisation to support economic development is already visible.
During the meeting, there were also talks about how the UNDP can support the goals of national development, the priorities of the government of Serbia and how it can mobilise young people to participate in the process of development of the country, he said.
