Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica sent a telegram of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the tragic accident at a market in Moscow, where the roof laden with snow collapsed.

“I am sincerely shattered by the news of this great tragedy caused by the roof collapse at a market in Moscow, claiming so many lives.
"Centuries old ties between our two nations make Serbia profoundly feel every tragedy that befalls Russian people.
"On behalf of the Serbian government and myself, I convey to you, Mr. President, our deepest and sincerest condolences, with the request that you convey them to the families of the victims,” reads the Prime Minister's telegram of condolence.
