Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo about bilateral relations and economic cooperation of the two countries.
Brnabic underlined that Serbia is proud of the decades-long history of excellent relations and that it is necessary to work on their improvement in all areas, bearing in mind the underutilised potential.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Serbia is ready to make additional efforts in the direction of intensifying and increasing foreign trade exchange, as well as in the development of other forms of cooperation, with a special emphasis on education, agriculture, tourism, the IT sector and sports.
The President of Guinea-Bissau assessed that the two countries have a responsibility to nurture the friendship and traditional relations that have connected them throughout history, with the belief that future generations will continue to nurture that friendship.
He welcomed the signing of the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports and of the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the mechanism of political consultation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
