President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo attended today the signing of the agreement between the governments of the two countries on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports and of the Memorandum of understanding on establishing the mechanism of political consultation between the ministries of foreign affairs of Serbia and Guinea-Bissau.

Speaking at a press conference, after the aforementioned documents were signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guinea-Bissau Suzi Carla Barbosa and State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Goran Aleksic, Vucic stated that he had discussed important issues with the President of Guinea-Bissau today, including the preservation of territorial integrity.
The President of Serbia also said that agreements have been reached on increasing the number of students from that African country that Serbia will grant scholarships to, as well as on cooperation in the fight against terrorism and in the field of agriculture.
Embalo emphasised that Serbia and Guinea-Bissau are brotherly countries and that the documents signed today represent the continuity of the traditionally good relations between the two countries.
