Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica talked today with Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Carla del Ponte and said that Serbia is fully determined to successfully conclude cooperation with the Tribunal.
Kostunica pointed out that it is in Serbia's foremost interest to complete this cooperation, adding that considerable progress has been made in the previous period. He also said that since Serbia has begun working on this cooperation, it is in the country's interest to complete the matter successfully.
Del Ponte stressed that the issue of Ratko Mladic is currently a matter of utmost importance for the Tribunal. She said that another important step Serbia should take toward full cooperation with The Hague is to make state archives available to the Tribunal.
