Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica sent a telegram of condolence to Polish Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, on the severe accident in the city of Katowice, where the trade hall roof collapsed.

“The citizens of Serbia-Montenegro are profoundly shocked at the news of the accident in Katowice in which many people lost their lives.
"On behalf of the Serbian government and myself, I convey to you, Mr. Prime Minister, our deepest and sincerest condolences, with the request that you convey them to the families of the victims,” reads the Prime Minister's telegram of condolence.
