Vesic stated that Israel is a global leader in the development of innovative solutions in the field of transport and urban mobility and said that the exchange of knowledge and experience in this area should be encouraged through the development of cooperation between universities, institutes and start-up companies.
He pointed out that Serbia wants to apply technological solutions and knowledge of that country in the field of public transport, road traffic, traffic accident management and road supervision.
According to him, in the future, the two countries will work on the organisation of various formats of meetings between state officials, businessmen and scientists in order to exchange knowledge and experiences related to all types of transport.
The Minister pointed out that the meeting also looked at the cooperation of national air carriers and the negotiations that Air Serbia is conducting with the aviation authorities of Israel with the aim of increasing the number of direct flights between Belgrade and Tel Aviv, which, as he assessed, is very important for the development of tourism, but also business and cultural ties between the two countries.
Given that Regev previously served as Israel's Minister of Culture, Vesic presented the initiatives he initiated as Belgrade's deputy mayor, which are related to the preservation of Jewish historical heritage in Belgrade.
