Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus Charalambos Petrides today expressed mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries.
Dacic and Petrides, who is on a three-day official visit to Serbia, stated that the challenges faced by the two countries coincide to a large extent, and that joint action is needed to successfully overcome them.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his gratitude for the support that Cyprus provides to Serbia regarding Kosovo and Metohija in all international forums, as well as for Cyprus' support on Serbia's path to the EU.
The officials agreed that there is great potential for the development of cooperation between the two friendly countries, not only in the field of defence, but also in the field of economy, science, tourism and sports, as well as that in the coming period, they will actively work on intensifying cooperation in all fields from common interest.
