Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said in the talks with the presidents of the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja Nagip Arifi, Ragmi Mustafa and Slobodan Draskovic that the government's priority is to secure equal economic development of all parts of the country, especially of multi-ethnic communities, and to improve economic conditions in these three municipalities of southern Serbia.
Kostunica said that it is necessary to continue the developmental and infrastructure projects in these three municipalities that have been launched. He promised that the government will set aside funds for their realisation.
The participants in the talks agreed that socially owned companies should be privatised as soon as possible and that conditions should be created for boosting employment.
It was also agreed that a donors' conference be held in spring in order to raise funds for the development of these three municipalities.
Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Human and Minorities Rights Rasim Ljajic also took part in the meeting.
