Serbia continues to develop into legally ordered and economically powerful state

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica sent his best wishes to all Serbian citizens for the New Year and promised that in 2006 Serbia will continue, even more decisively, the process of European integration, as well as developing into legally ordered and economically even more powerful state.

“I believe that the New Year will bring joy and better life to all of us, that Serbia will finally show itself in the real light and demonstrate its full power in facing the problems in front of it in the year to come.
“All the state and national issues we are faced with concern both Serbia and all its citizens. Therefore, we all need to work together and in the spirit of national unity to solve them.
“On this occasion I especially address the oppressed people in Kosovo-Metohija. At the beginning of the New Year, I wish to send you words of encouragement and support. The whole Serbia stands beside you, and it has no more pressing concern than preserving Kosovo-Metohija. Both justice and right are on our side and that is the reality Serbia will never recede from.
“In the New 2006 Serbia will continue trying even more decisively to become part of the European family and to develop into legally arranged and economically even more powerful state.
“It is time that all the citizens of Serbia start to live better, and that results of the Serbian government’s efforts become visible in their every day life.
“I wish you all great success, health and happiness in the New 2006”, reads the Prime Minister’s New Year greeting.
