Kostunica receives ‘Order of Venerable Sergey Radonezhsky’ honour

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica received today a delegation of the International Fund of Unity of Orthodox Peoples led by President of the Fund Valery Alexeyev, who presented Kostunica with the ‘Order of Venerable Sergey Radonezhsky’ honour on behalf of the Patriarch of Moscow and all of Russia, Alexei the Second.
Alexei the Second awarded the Serbian Prime Minister with this high acknowledgment of the Russian Orthodox Church. Kostunica expressed gratitude for the order bestowed on him and stressed that the Russian and Serbian people cherish traditionally close relations and that they are connected by history, culture and Orthodoxy.
The meeting was also attended by Serbian Minister of Religion Milan Radulovic.
