Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today in talks with president of Russian Railways, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Centre of National Glory of Russia and of the fund “The International Prize of St Andrew” Vladimir Yakunin, and members of the Serbian-Russian Friendship Society that any solution for Kosovo-Metohija should respect international law and principle of inviolability of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a state.

Kostunica said at the meeting that the solution cannot be imposed and it must be viable, he added that regional stability must also be taken into account.
He said that the basic human rights of Serbs and other non ethnic-Albanian groups in Kosovo-Metohija are being violated and stressed that their rights must be protected.
Kostunica expressed gratitude to the guests for their humanitarian help to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and especially for the concern shown for the children of that province, for whom it was made possible to visit Russia.
Members of the Russian delegation said that it is essential that human rights are respected everywhere, and particularly in Kosovo-Metohija where they are being violated and said that they wish to help Serb children from Kosovo-Metohija, who have a very hard life, and receive them as guests in Russia.
Serbian Minister of Religion Milan Radulovic also took part in the meeting.
