Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic and Greek Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias talked today about the improvement of bilateral cooperation between the two states in the field of tourism and the upcoming tourist season.

Speaking at a joint press conference at the Palace of Serbia, Matic said that there is a lot of room for improvement of cooperation, first and foremost in the private sector and when it comes to consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on tourism.
We will jointly help the private sector and tourist agencies in the two countries to solve the problems that are left unsolved from the period of the pandemic, Matic said and explained that the unresolved situation refers to unrealised replacement trips and the blocked money of Serbian tour operators in Greece.
Kikilias underlined that Serbia and Greece are connected by unique ties and that the two sides agreed today to work on creating new good opportunities for both countries.
In the first week of June a meeting of Serbian tourist agencies with Greek operators will be held, in order to discuss how to overcome consequences of last year’s crisis, Kikilias said.
