Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijević, representatives of public utility company Belgrade Metro and Train, the City of Belgrade Secretariat for Public Transport, and Spain’s Ingerop T3 S.L.U. today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the implementation of system integration for the project to construct the first line of the Belgrade Metro.

Sofronijević stated that this act represents another decisive step towards the implementation of one of the most complex infrastructure projects in Serbia’s contemporary history.
According to her, this is an extremely complex undertaking requiring a high level of coordination among a large number of stakeholders and advanced technologies.
By engaging renowned international partners and applying the highest standards of systems engineering, it will be ensured that all segments of the project – from design and construction to commissioning – are implemented in accordance with the highest global standards of safety, reliability and efficiency, she emphasised.
The MoU was signed at the Serbian government building, on behalf of the Secretariat for Public Transport by Slaven Andrić, by Belgrade Metro and Train Director Andreja Mladenović, and on behalf of Ingerop T3 by Álvaro Gómez-Rey Romero.
