Kostunica and Kebo said that an additional impetus for a new phase of cooperation between the countries is their established European perspective, which offers new possibilities for further strengthening of relations between the neighbours.
Kebo reiterated his country’s viewpoint that the issue of Kosovo-Metohija should be solved according to UN Resolution 1244, and with respect of the principle of inviolability of Serbia-Montenegro’s internationally recognised borders.
He pointed out that the permanent solution to the Kosovo-Metohija issue can be reached only through consultation with Belgrade.
Kostunica stressed his dedication to the respect of the Dayton Agreement and to the principle of inviolability of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the internationally recognised Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The two officials also discussed the necessity of fully implementing the Sarajevo Declaration on the return of refugees, solving the issue of missing persons, intensifying economic cooperation, as well as signing agreements on cultural and educational cooperation and the joint fight against organised crime and terrorism in the region.
The meeting was also attended by Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Human and Minority Rights Rasim Ljajic.
