Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica received today a delegation from Microsoft led by one of the company's vice presidents, Walid Abu-Hadba. The participants in the talks agreed that Microsoft's investment in a development centre in Serbia is one of the most important steps for Serbia's future in the field of information technologies.

Kostunica pointed to the importance of developing information technologies in Serbia, and stressed that the opening of Microsoft's development centre in Belgrade is very important for future generations of IT professionals who will get the opportunity to learn in the best working conditions and subsequently be able to find work within their profession and remain in their country.
Hadba said that Serbia has great potentials in the field of IT and that he sees the country as a regional leader in the future. He added that Microsoft is willing to take part in the preparation of a strategy for further economic development in Serbia.
