Government adopts Bill on social entrepreneurship

The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on Social Entrepreneurship, whose goal is to create a favourable business environment for the development of social entrepreneurship, develop awareness of the importance of social economy and social entrepreneurship and meet identified social needs.

The law envisages the formation of the Council for Social Entrepreneurship, which will consist of an equal number of representatives of the public and private sector, i.e. the professional public.

By applying this law, this area is being systematically regulated for the first time in Serbia, which enables and creates better conditions for encouraging entrepreneurship, and thus the general living standard of citizens.

At the session, three conclusions were made regarding the price of electricity - for reserve supply, the price of electricity to customers on the commercial market, as well as legal entities from the group of the Defence Industry of Serbia.

The government also adopted a decree on a temporary measure to limit the price of gas and compensate for differences in the price of natural gas procured from imports or produced in Serbia in the event of disturbances in the natural gas market.

The Decree on the conditions and manner of conducting subsidised procurement of passenger vehicles for the needs of renewing the taxi fleet as public transport was adopted.

In order to reduce air pollution, the government passed the Decree on the conditions and manner of conducting subsidized purchase of new vehicles that have exclusively electric drive, as well as vehicles that run with electric combustion engine and electric drive (hybrid drive) in 2022.

The government has adopted the Strategy of Human Resources in the Judiciary for the period 2022-2026. year, whose general goal is the establishment and sustainable development of a transparent, modern and efficient system of human resources management in the judiciary in order to strengthen the rule of law and legal security of citizens.

The government members adopted the Decree on Incentives for Investors to Produce an Audiovisual Work in Serbia, which regulates the conditions and manner of allocating funds.

The government has decided to establish the National Council for the Development of E-Sports. There is a huge importance and potential for the accelerated development of the E-sports industry, and Serbia would position itself at the very top of the European and world E-sports centre by realising the investment of the E-Sports National Complex (Game Village).
