Cooperation with Israel in application of latest technology in agriculture

Belgrade, 16 December 2021

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic met today in the presence of Israeli Ambassador to Serbia Yahel Vilan with Director of the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) Galit Peleg for the promotion of modern technologies in agriculture as well.

It was agreed at the meeting that several centres of excellence will be built in the next three months, where Serbian farmers in direct contact with the most modern technologies will be able to train for their application in agriculture.

The most modern technologies used in agriculture will be installed in the centres, from the field of vegetables to the use of the latest robots and drones.

The application of these centres will be a modern transfer of knowledge for the next ten years.

Israel is a leader in that area and represents the very top in the production and application of modern technologies, it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
