Ruzic said that the goal of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development is to attract as many foreign students as possible to Serbia and added that our country has been recognised globally as a country with high-quality institutions of higher education.
He underlined that the internationalisation of higher education in Serbia is one of the priorities of the Strategy of Education Development to 2030.
According to the latest data, more than 10,000 foreign students are enrolled in the institutions of higher education in Serbia. Our strategic goal is to increase this number by attracting students from the entire world, and not only from the region, the First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out. To that end, The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological will continue to implement the initiative “Study in Serbia”.
He added that a new public call for the allocation of 200 scholarships for the programme “World in Serbia” for the next school year has been announced.
In this way we enable foreign students to acquire academic degrees in Serbia, which they can use in their countries. The goal of the project is to promote culture, tradition and higher education, Ruzic concluded.
