First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic opened today the Second investment conference of Serbia at Expo 2020 Dubai in Dubai.
Ruzic expressed his conviction that presenting investment potentials of our country in various fields will grab the attention of new investors, who will realise the advantages of investing in Serbia.
He underlined that in the era of modern technologies and digitalisation, Serbia is trying to strengthen its position in the field of innovation and to that end, it applies a series of incentives.
We recognised the importance of innovation and artificial intelligence on time and we are the first country in the region of Southeast Europe to have adopted the Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy. We passed a series of strategic documents which are the basis and guideline for improving innovative and scientific activities, Ruzic pointed out.
According to him, investments in innovation and e-mobility entail improvement of education and science, as well as cooperation of companies with the education system and institutions of Serbia, and all this together is the key to creating a technologically advanced and economically successful society.
At the investment conference, Ruzic also presented the dual education system in Serbia which provides a more efficient response of the education system to the needs of the economy and the labour market, technological changes and the needs for new competencies.
Our national dual education system proved to be useful, flexible and promising. More and more companies that are coming set as a prerequisite a developed system of dual education, and their decision to choose Serbia as a country in which they want to expand their production process is a proof that our national dual education system is going in the right direction, Ruzic concluded.
